Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14, 1980) was an American actress, singer, and dancer. In her early Broadway roles, she played her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She received an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in the Play in the role of Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors, actors, and other performers in stage and on screen throughout her entire career. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive program Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford's current project will be Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust which he is starring in with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film will be aired on Disney DTC in the form of a Hulu Original. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place in March 2023 when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. This production will be directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which brought you Hamilton. Ashford was most recently seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the first impeachment proceeding in America during the Over a Century. She was in two seasons of cult CBS comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway performances. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and is now dividing her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
