Over the course of her career she was a woman who was a singer and composer. She was awarded 15 Grammys. Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MB is famous. Her birth date was May 5, 1988. Her parents brought her into the world of Tottenham District of London. The mother of the child was English and her father was Welsh. Her mother took her when her father abandoned them. Since the age of 4 she began to sing. She became obsessed with it. Mother and daughter moved to Brighton. The couple moved to London again in 1999. Cugat took the beautiful brunette, brown-eyed and beautiful to New York where she was noticed by a Columbia talent scout. The scout signed her in 1942. The year 1942 was the time she appeared as a hot leading lady in a string of bland B movies such as Vengeance of the West starring Tex Ritter. Following her signing with Republic Studios, she became the most glamorous blonde and platinum pinup a couple of years following. She was very busy at Republic Studios. Her roles were mostly senoritas against cowboys Roy Rogers (1945), Gene Autry (1947) in Twilight on the Rio Grande, and Bells of Rosarita. Blackmail (1947), Web of Danger as well as The Avengers were all enjoyable diverting from her crime drama work. Perhaps her most notable roles be in Angel In Exile (1948) and Sands of Iwo Jima (1949) which, again, starred Duke Wayne. The actress was seldom given the opportunity to show off her talent as an actor but by 1950, her career had waned. Her last screen appearance was in The Big Circus (1959) with Victor Mature. Adele moved on to television and was featured in numerous guest spots, mainly westerns. After marrying the TV entrepreneur Roy Huggins (who produced many successful shows, including 77 Sunset Strip and Maverick) She eventually settled down with her family. Her appearances were as guest on a variety of them. The couple had three children. Huggins died 2002.
